COVID Update

Sunday School has been canceled for the fall. However, Backyard Bible Clubs will take place every other week on this fall on Sundays at 4-5:30 pm from 9/13 to 10/25.  We will then do one more BBC the following week of 11/1 with non-scary costumes.

Children are a cherished part of the Good Hope family.  We strive to serve them and let them serve others through a number of programs.

To ensure the safety of all of our children, all leaders & volunteers working with children & teens have gone through an online background check

Sunday School

Sunday School provides instruction in the Christian faith from caring and involved teachers. Children are taught God’s story of redemption from Genesis through Revelation. An age appropriate curriculum, including stories, songs, games, and worksheets help children better grasp Christ’s love.  Join us Sunday at 9:15 am.

Nursery Ministry

Nursery Ministry provides safe, secure, and loving childcare during Sunday School and worship.  During Sunday school, infants are cared for while toddlers and preschoolers receive an age-appropriate Bible lesson.  During morning worship, child care for infants through three years old is provided.

Children’s Church

The goal of Children’s Church is to help them worship and to prepare them for partcipation in worship.  Some families send their children (8 yrs old and younger) there. Some keep their children with them. Whatever works best for your family works for us!

Vacation Bible School

VBS is a high energy week with crafts, games, snacks, songs, and more.  The good news of the Gospel is woven into the stories presented each day. VBS is traditionally held mornings during a week in July.  A wide spectrum of members enjoy helping with VBS. See all the fun we had learning about the Christ-exalting life of the Prophet Daniel.

Children’s Christmas Play

Parents are asked to help their children learn their lines and the songs. Remember, there are no small parts, only small actors! Many opportunities exist for church members to support the children through making costumes, building sets, erecting the stage, and assisting with sound and lighting.

The play is followed by brief time of refreshments and relaxing after the big show!
