Biblical Lay Counseling

Our goal is to provide Christ-centered guidance to equip individuals to engage in thought and behaviors that are consistent with God’s teaching. 

Biblical lay counseling at Good Hope Presbyterian Church is committed to providing a balanced and biblical approach to applying the truths of the Bible to life.  Our beliefs and practices align with those stated by Good Hope Presbyterian Church. We believe that the Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God, the only infallible rule of faith and practice. We believe Jesus Christ, whose name is called Wonderful, Counselor, and Mighty God, is present with the Church by His Word and Spirit, and the benefits of all His offices are effectually applied by the Holy Spirit.

We believe that the Bible provides sufficient guidance and instruction for faith and life. Therefore, our counseling is based on scriptural principles of discipleship. These scriptural principles include our relying on the Holy Spirit as the true agent of deep, lasting heart change. 

This is a ministry of mercy and therefore does not charge for the counseling services.
