WOMEN
Our Purpose: With Scripture at its core, with sustaining prayer, and with a spirit of love and humility the Women’s Ministry as part of the Good Hope body endeavors to:
- Help each woman cultivate a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Prepare and equip each woman to serve and glorify God in her life, home, church, community and throughout the world.
To this end, we carry out a number of specific ministries: Bible Studies, women’s conferences, large and small group social events, the care of families and individuals in special need, local outreaches into the community, as well as other ministries designed to meet the needs not only of women but of the entire church.
Weekly
Bible Studies
The Friday morning study meets weekly at the church, 9:30–11:30 am. This year we will be studying the book of Isaiah. For more information, contact: Cheryl Dudek.
A new Precept Bible Study of Paul’s Letters begins September 10. This study meets via Zoom, on Wednesday mornings, 9:30–11:30 am. If you would like more information, please contact Kathy Heckman.
Retreats
Similar to the slumber parties you enjoyed so much as a child, retreats are overnight trips, each with a specific spiritual focus. Don’t forget to bring your nail polish!
Testimony Brunches
Testimony brunches are held several times a year. The brunch goal is “that [we] may be encouraged in heart and united in love” (from Colossians 2:2), as we come together to minister to one another through testimony and prayer, in a context of good food and fellowship. Each brunch has a theme verse, with the Fellowship Hall decorated to highlight that verse. There is a devotional related to the theme, and wonderful food is served. Following this, two women from the church share with us what the Lord has been doing in their lives, and also share prayer requests.
