- Friday night – Hear from the missionaries over dessert in homes as children are cared for at church.
- Saturday night – We will hear from our missionaries. Childcare is provided.
- Sunday morning – Our Sunday school & worship service will highlight God’s World Mission. A sub lunch will be provided after worship.
This morning’s service started with two performances by the Good Hope Choir. First a trio performed the “Lift thine eyes” from the oratorio Elijah written by Felix Mendelssohn.
The choir then continued with “He, watching over Israel” (Movement 29) from the same oratorio.
This year’s Christmas play was once again a smashing success! The Children of Good Hope retold the story of the Prodigal Son set in Maryland during the Roaring 20s. A big shout-out to all the excellent acting by our young stars, and the hard work of the congregation for writing the play (Chris Waller!), building the set, and sewing costumes!
Below is a Youtube video cued up to show the fabulous set developed for the Maryland Dive, a gambling parlor where our prodigal son squanders his wealth.
