On Saturday October 6th, the Youth Group hosted four other PCA churches youth groups for a fun night of Capture the Flag, a Chili cook off, worship around the bonfire, and funny skits.
Our Youth Group put on a Backyard Bible Club for the residents of the Forest Ridge Apartments, many of whom are recent immigrants from Haiti. Twenty children showed each day for Bible stories, crafts, games and a free lunch. On Friday we gave away clothes, toys, food, and school supplies.
120 Children, 60+ Volunteers, and 1 Sovereign Savior. VBS is always an exciting time in the life of our church. This year the children learned about the Prophet Daniel’s Sovereign Savior from the stories in Daniel 1-7.
The Ladies of Good Hope and friends gathered to hear three ladies give their testimonies and learn about the Women’s Ministry of Good Hope, as well as the bi-annual women’s retreat coming this September.
PNO was the place to be for 41 of us tonight. The Youth Group hosted 26 children for Parents Night Out. The Parents had a date night from while the kids sang Bible songs, heard interactive Bible stories, ate dinner and dessert, watched Veggie Tales, played soccer and the “foot game,” and had an all around good time.
The Good Hope Youth invited our friends a Wallace Pres for Spring Balze: an evening of fun and worship. We started off with a 15 on 15 game of Capture the Flag, then enjoyed Chipotle for dinner and some hang out time. During the second half of the evening we worshipped around the campfire and learned how to face the trials of life with Jesus’ help. The evening wrapped up with a few skits and silly songs by the fire. Everyone had a blast!
